However, often when a vet sees a dog with pruritus (itching) it can be very hard to get a definitive diagnosis and may require a \u2018trial and error\u2019 approach to treating the itching &amp; find a solution that suits and helps your pet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Usually the first thing to look at to help your dog\u2019s skin condition would be <u>diet<\/u>. Changing your dog\u2019s diet will not only help your dog\u2019s skin but will also help with other areas of health and wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is also useful to consider when thinking about medications, the potential implications that may have on your pet\u2019s long term health and the known side effects. It is sensible to weigh up these options before agreeing a course of drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Often we find that the most effective way to improve your pet\u2019s skin condition is with the aid of high quality natural products whether that be topical creams and or supplements.
